Question
I do photo art (http://tinyurl.com/ru9p) and could use help in getting started - critique and advice greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello,

To get exhibited really depends on the area in which you live and the number of opportunities.

It is very difficult to have a gallery exhibit photographs....they don't have the market that other mediums have so from the start you will have an uphill struggle.

Best bet is to put on your own exhibition....perhaps at a local library...community room at a bank....or in a church community room. Any public space will do the trick.

Promote it in the newspaper(s) send invites to as many people as possible...do a opening reception, etc, etc.

Once you have built a base, your acceptance at a commerical gallery will be so much easier to gain.

Good luck!
