Question
I'm planning on taking alot of chemistry and biology courses in college.

After completing them, do you think I'll be able to understand things like how pseudoephedrine and other medicines work with the body to alleviate illnesses?

I tried reading wikipedia now, but they use words like sympathomimetic amine, weak agonist activity and noradrenaline from storage vesicles in presynaptic neurons!

Answer
Jeff,

I checked the article you read. I think after taking a couple organic chemistry courses, a couple anatomy and physiology courses, a cell biology course, and a biochemistry course, that you'd have a pretty good handle on what all of those terms mean. A pharmacology course would probably help too, if your school offers one.
