Careers: Flying & Aviation/Some Issues

Question
Hey,

I'm currently working on my Private Pilots Certificate and I'm close to going solo but I have some problems. I'm  still in high school and the nearest flight school is about an hour and a half away since I live in a more rural area. The school is great but because of the distance issue as well as school during the week, it's difficult to find days that I can fly. I'm planning on a career in aviation so this is a bit of a stumbling block. I would have gone solo on my last flight however crosswinds on every runway didn't allow it. It's costing more money than I'd like and I was wondering if there's a way around this problem.

Thanks.

Answer
Caleb,
If you want a career in aviation, you should be planning on attending college and preferably an aviation college such as Embry-Riddle or Daniel Webster.  You will need the degree to get a job flying for the airlines.  While you attend you can get your certifications and ratings.  Most schools also offer career placement.  Get the Private and then attend the college.  Most schools offer tuition assistance.
