I am from India and would like to do my CPL course in US Miami, can you please recommend a school for the same. And is aircraft type rating advisable or beneficial ?

Hi,

I would recommend that you research the following Florida-based flight schools:

Jet Bridge
Flight Safety International
Pan Am International Flight Academy
Gulfstream Academy
Delta Airlines Flight Academcy

If you are just in the process of completing your Commercial Pilot License, an aircraft type rating would be premature.  You would have a type rating but you would not have the flight experience to back it up.  It is normally best to get a type rating once you have earned apprximately 1500 fight hours.  In the meantime, earning Pilot in Command flight hours, particularly with an eye to getting employed at a Regional Airline would be a good next step after training.  The reason is that a Regional Airline will bring you up from first officer (co-pilot) to catptain (pilot in command) and then they will PAY FOR your type rating.
