Question
Hi doc,i'm really glad talking to u ,your answers are so beneficial.i'm still confused about what's the best whether to go to a flight school or the ERAU but form your point of view i think i will apply for the ERAU but what i need to know if i graduated form the ERAU what are the chances to work at the states since i am a foreign student ?!

Answer
Hi,

I believe that your best bet is to ask ERAU or the flight schools that you apply to what their history has been in terms of getting jobs for international students in the USA.  The first hurdle will be to get the Federal Aviation Administration certification as a pilot.....then, the second hurdle will be to clear the INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) requirements to work in the USA.  Normally, such requirements require someone to certify that there is a shortage of the particular type of employee that you are (Pilot).....right now, there is a shortage of pilots in the USA.  But, who can say if this shortage will continue?

Remember, there is hiring in China, India and in other locations around the world, too.
