Answer
Helen

In 2006, the median income of American flight attendants was $53,780. The middle 50% percent earned between $33,320 and $77,410 and the lowest 10% earned less than $24,250, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $99,300. According to data from the Association of Flight Attendants, new hire F/As had median earnings of $15,849 a year.

Beginning pay scales for flight attendants vary by carrier, however. New hires usually begin at the same pay scale regardless of experience, and all flight attendants receive the same future pay increases based on an established pay scale.

Here are some facts & figures on U.S. F/A salaries:

My profile states that I can only address careers at U.S. airlines. So, no I cannot provide figures for European or Asian countries. Try this cabin crew forum for that info- http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40
