Question
Hi I am 4feet 10 inches and am a american citizen but have been in England the last 1 and a half years.  Would that be a problem with FAA requirements.  I would like to work for a year or two then go flight school in USA.

Answer
Your height would not be an issue with the FAA in getting a medical or a pilot certificate. The FAA has no limitations on height. Your only concern would be if you could not reach flight controls. That may be a limiting factor from an employers standpoint.

Regarding residency, where you have lived is a not a factor. As long as you are an American citizen you will not be subject to the Alien Flight Training rule and can begin flight training whenever you return from abroad.
