Question
Finally , I got admission to ERAU , but the money was just the biggest wall front of me .. I turned around and found a community college here in my local area that offers flight program .
but the one thing i didn't understand doesn't the FAFSA covers the flight training too ?
if no , then is there any way that the government offers loans or grants for the flight training ?

thank you .

Answer
Hi,

In order for the financial aid from FAFSA forms to cover flight training, then, you must include the flight training COSTS in your estimated cost of attending school.  Here at the school where I work, the financial aid office requires a supplemental form to be submitted to them for each flight course as it is being registered.  They then issue a supplemental amount of financial aid in proportion to (in excess of) your regular financial aid to cover flight training costs.  Your best bet it is to check with the school that you have decided to attend and verify how financial aid will work at that school relative to flight training.
