QuestionI would like to know which academy can take a foreign student on scholarship, because I have applied in some airways like etihad and virgin nigeria airways for their pilot cadet scholarship in which a contract would be signed after training you have to work for them,I would appreciate if you can help me out, because I just graduated from university in which i studied aeronautical engineering.
AnswerSamuel,
Here is the thing that each airline has their own requirements for their cadets, and cadets have to be comply with them in order to be competitive. But in general each airline will grant training as you comply with their requirements. One of the requirement is to be citizen of that country. Like Adria Airways in Croatia Europe will accept cadets only if they are Croatian citizens, and that has sense. Reason is simple, they do have literally hundreds candidates, and they have to choose only 50-80 that will be acepted for training. So really requirements are becoming extremelly tough, grades, schools, previous flight training, job contractct....etc. You got picture. But I do not know any airline that will accept foreign students on their training and possible employment after training. What so ever, they will accept you on training without job at the end of training but you will have to pay full training costs. Some smaller airlines (A) do exacly that, sent they students and cadets to bigger airline (B) for flight training with other cadets, but at the end those students will get job with smaller airline (A) not with the bigger airline (A) where they did training.
I hope that this will help
