Question I talked to an advisor at UAA about the 18 month program. When I told her I'd be 30 1/2 when I graduated, she told me I wouldn't have enough time to get hired. She said that you need to get hired before you enter the FAA Academy.
I was disappointed because you said that if I was accepted to the FAA Academy within 6 months, I would be "already hired" and would have two years to get hired at a location even though I would be over 31. CAn you please help me with this ?
Answer Pete,
Maybe i misunderstood your age. How old are you now? When will you start the 18 month program? How old will you be when you finish the program.
When you are hired you have to be under 31. The FAA academy is a US govt facility and you have to be an FAA employee to go the the academy.
Thanks
Dacus
