The only scholarship opportunity you might qualify for as a Nigerian I am aware of is from Women In Aviation International (www.WAI.org). Although the majority of their members are in the United States, I know one of their past winners was in Africa. They award them in late February or early March and the annual application deadline is in December.

As my profile states, I can only address pilot training and pilot hiring inquiries from within the United States as abroad it is often very different from here. I cannot comment on Nigeria and the airlines there. I suggest you visit the African Aviation message forum at PPRUNE- http://www.pprune.org/african-aviation-37/

This thread may be of special interest to you:

"Women Aviators in Africa is a newly started society which has goals of availing information and provide mentorship, guidance, and motivation to girls and women working towards, or aspiring for a career in the aviation sector...."

Here is their website is still under construction - http://www.wafric.org

So contact them via their Facebook.com community networking page-

Here is a message board thread on the Nigerian pilot sponsorship topic, it looks like it may have some useful info-
