Question
hi there,
I am 23 years old, a private pilot. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in aviation field at Metropolitan State College of Denver. I would like to join Air Force to become a pilot. I understand that I have go through ROTC program, since I am in a civilian college. I know it is very competitive to get a pilot slot, but I am willing to work hard for it as much as I could. The question I had was about minimum height requirement for Air Force pilot, because I am only 5'2 ft. Does my height effects my chance to become a pilot in Air Force? Would you tell me about lifestyle of being Air Force pilot? What kind of training a pilot has go through? Does a pilot deploys very often? Thank you, any advices or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi,

It is very nice to hear from you.

My advice would be to talk to Professor Kevin Kuhlmann, a professor in aviation at Metro State College of Denver.  He is a Lt. Col in the USAF and went through AFROTC while in college....I believe he can answer the questions that you have.

Best wishes,
