Question
Hi , I want to start a career as commercial helicopter pilot , I already talk to one school but I been doing some research an looks like the market is not very good right now and more for the entry level , my question is - Its worthed to get into the training right now ? , so if you guys can help me with some advices I'll be really greatful.

Answer
Pablo,

Thanks for your question!

The market for anything in aviation is extremly bleak right now, as a matter of fact the worse I have seen in over 30 years!, however you need to do your own research and determine if "Pilot" is a profession you want to pursue. Over the last 10 years this profession has deteriorated dramatically, with short overnights, little sleep, long time away from home and little pay ($18,000 - $ 34,000) for the first 10-15 years of your career, far fetched from the glamour years in the late 60's through 80's. If you want to become a Pilot it has to be for the right reason and that is that you love flying!!!!... you won't get rich doing it! If doing it for the right reason is your way to go then I would say go for it now, even though the job market and outlook for the next 3-5 years are terrible, having your License now and being ready when hiring begins will make a big difference in getting in on the ground floor of the next hiring boom! Getting in on the next hiring boom is going to be essential on how your long term career outlook is going to shape up, even a couple of months late can make the difference of you upgrading in a very short time to Captain or sit First Officer for a long time (Captain pay is what you want to be able to feed your family).
I don't want to paint a bleak picture of this profession, however having lived through several cycles I know how hard it is to keep the family together through tough times and want other prospective pilots to know what they are getting into before making a big expenditure (Pilots License) thinking they will reap the benefits, you won't it will take many many years!

Good Luck with your future and enjoy,

H2
