Question dear sir, I am doing my final year Aeronautical Engineering in India. Further I would like to study MBA in Aviation Management. please tel me is this study may help me to get a job as an Airport manager. Or else please tel me what i have to do to get a job as an aiport manager.
Answer Hi,
Thank you for your question, I will try to assist!
I have two suggestions for you with regard to obtaining a job as an airport manager after obtaining a degree in aeronautical engineering:
1. You might want to consider obtaining an MBA in Aviation Management. One is available from a school in India, the University of Energy and Petroleum Studies in Dheradun, India, which has a Centre for Aviation Studies. They can be reached at http://cas.ueps.ac.in/
An MBA will give you an excellent background in non-engineering aviation studies and will also give you an important advantage, together with your aeronautical engineering background, for a career in airport management.
2. Whether you do it now or later, you might check into obtaining an "Internship" in airport management or airport operations at a major airport. Many times, the larger airports have such internships available for college or university students as a way to bring new people into the airport management field.
Best of luck to you in your search for a position in airport management.
