Answer Hi, Agesh:
Thanks for your question. I will try to assist.
You indicate that one of your options is Embry Riddle, but, you do not mention any other options. There are a few other institutions offering the MBA in Aviation, or, something similar and they are:
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN (MBA in Aerospace)
Daniel Webster University, Nashua, NH (MBA in Aviation with an on-line option)
Also, some schools offer aviation-related masters, including:
Master of Public Administration in Aviation Administration:
-Southern Illinois University Carbondale
-University of Nebraska at Omaha
Master's degree in Airport Management and Planning:
-Florida Institute of Technology
-Middle Tennessee State University
So, there are several directions you can go with a non-engineering master's degree in aviation. Embry Riddle is certainly well-known and is a very good option for you. And, they have a very large flight school associated with their main campus in Daytona Beach, Florida, where you can fly in addition to taking graduate classes (but, at an additional cost for the flight training).
Your choice of a particular master's degree program depends greatly on your interest in aviation and what your career direction is going to be. Do you want to work for an airline or an aviation manufacturer or an airport or a government agency related to aviation....or, what? Each of the programs above has a particular strength in terms of how and where they place their graduates into the industry.....MBA related programs are a bit stronger in their ties to airlines, for example. MPA programs are better tied to government agencies in aviation (including airports). That sort of thing....so, choose the program that relates to where you want to work after graduation.
That also means that you should check with each program that you apply to with regard to their PLACEMENT OF GRADUATES. Some schools have aviation career fairs for their graduates to participate in on campus. Other schools have paid internships or assistantships that you can participate in to gain work experience in aviation. You will need to ask each school as you apply how they place their graduates.
I hope that this information is of assistance to you.
Sincerely,
