Question
are there any diseases or sicknesses that disables us from getting into aviation school?

Answer
Yes, there are many things that could prohibit you medically from becoming a pilot. Any number of neurological anomalies, cardiovascular problems, cancers, diabeties or psychiatric conditions could disqualify you for pilot medical certification.

Part of pilot certification includes having an exam done and a medical certificate issued based on that exam. (This is independant from enrolling in flight school.) Recreational pilots must have at least a Third Class medical, Commercial pilots at least a Second Class medical and Airline Transport Pilots must have a First Class medical certificate.

The requirements for each medical differ slightly and the First Class is the most restrictive. Go to this ink to read about each medical certificate and the basic minimum requirements for vision, hearing, eyesight and oter criteria that must be met-

Pilot Medical Solutions, Inc is a company that specializes in helping people with conditions that may be disqualifying in obtainig their medical certificate. Here is a list of common problem or denial of medical issuance conditions-

They manage to help those with what appears to be a disqualifying condition get their certification, so depending on what issue you are considering specifically it may or may prohibit you from flight training.

Hope this helps,
