hi, im 16 and i want to be an air force fighter pilot. do u know if private flying hours are required prior to air force pilot school?

That is good question. I had one of my students that actually get his PPL license with me because he desperatelly wanted to join Ai Force Academy down in FL. Well apparently they do like to see applicants with PPL. Although it is not required, but highly desired. Unfortunatelly, their requirements regarding medical fittnes and grades are really high, as my understanding. Unfortunatelly, student of mine never got accepted, they did not never elaborate their decision. But you have to understand they do have thousands of applicants for Air Force Academy, so their requirements are based on that fact..
Do not be disappointed, you have to try the best
