Hello Mr.David,

firtsly a big thanks for the guidance that you  have been giving ambitious students like us who wish to pursue a career in the aviation industry.I am riya,25yrs of age and currently working as a ticketing agent in a travel agency.I only have a year's experience in this industry.as far as my educational background is concerned,am a psotgraduate in travel tourism studies and have also succesfully compltd my IATA foundation course.I am not at al happy with my present job and hence thought of taking an mba in aviation management from a reputed university in UK.however,am very confused as i cant decide which are the good universities in uk,came across a few like coventry, brunel.but how reputed r they??also i'd really like to know the job prospects in this industry for an mba aviation mngmnt graduate. thanks for ur help!

Answer
Hi, Riya:

Thank you for your question, I will try to assist.

First of all, the job prospects for MBA in Aviation graduates should be fairly good starting in late 2011 into 2012, especially with the airline industry.  The airlines will be starting to grow again later this year and that growth will be excellent within two years. They will then need well-trained management staff in order to grow.  So, NOW is the time to get a degree!

Sceond, I am not at all clear myself on the schools that might offer an MBA option in the UK.  I have heard of a program at Cranfield University that is quite good...so, that one is likely one of the best available.

What you would look for are two key things:  1.  Is the MBA program accredited in some way by an MBA accrediting body?  (2) are at least some of the faculty in MBA in Aviation Program qualified in some way in the aviation, airline and/or airport business????
