Hello, my niece has been trained in the USA as a pilot after her high school. However getting a job remains a challenge in the current economic scenario. She would like to pursue her undergrad in aviation but we have limited financial resources. Are there universities that offer a scholarship for international students ?

It is nice to hear from you, I will try to assist.

As far as universities offering scholarships for international students, she will have to check with individual institutions to see what they have available.  Some of the aviation-oriented institutions that seem to cater to international students in aviation are as follows:

1.  Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Michigan

2.  University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota

3.  Embry Riddle Aeronautcal University, Daytona Beach, Florida

In addition, you can also order two booklets from the University Aviation Association that might be helpful:

A.  THE COLLEGIATE AVIATION GUIDE which is a listing of colleges and universities that offer aviation programs; and,

B.  THE COLLEGIATE AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP LISTING which is a listing of aviation scholarships that are offered with over $1.2 million avialble each year.
