Question
Hello Sir,
I'm one of those who are deeply interested in the adventure of flying and I'm committed to make my dream true, but there is one SIGNIFICANT factor that's not allowing me to run wild with my dream, that is the case of financing.I can't afford any of the trainings that are given...I just want to ask you, is this factor avoidable or will it be there till the end?...I very much will appreciate your response.

Answer
Unfortunately it is unavoidable. I am unaware of any scholarships that will fund an entire pilot training program. There are a feather will pay for a pilot certificate or rating but that is just a part of whole. Also I have no knowledge of awards in Africa.  (As my profile states, I can only address flight scholarships and training in the United States.)

Institutions or benefactors that award aviation scholarships want to get the most return for their investment. Aviation scholarships are usually small awards that may cover less than 10% of the total cost involved in getting commercial pilot, multiple-engine and  intrument rating certification. Thus the best applicants are not necessarily the most financially needy, but those who have struggled and made some accomplishment on their own already and managed to have paid for it somehow. Those that have demonstrated their dedication to aviation regardless of their lack of funds. An aspiring pilot unable to fund any training is not a good candidate as love of flight alone, plus a small award, will never get them anywhere.

I can't tell from your name, but if you are female I suggest Women In Aviation International. They have awarded a few women in Africa scholarships in the past - but all had existing qualifications. The scholarship simply helped them get to the next goal.
