Question
QUESTION: hello sir,
i am a 18 years old high school student with physics and maths as a major subject. i am planning to do my course till CPL with IR in multi engine in USA. But sir, after i complete my CPL with IR what should be my next step to get into an airline as pilot. I want to  have a good pilot career. And i eagerly want to be an air line pilot.

ANSWER: Hello Swapnil,
Your next step needs to be a college degree.  All of the major airlines require one.  My suggestion to you would be to attend an aviation college.  There are several good ones to choose from. Here is a site that might help: http://www.youngeagles.org/careers/aviation_colleges.asp

These schools not only get you a degree but they are designed to prepare you for a career in aviation.  Some even have job placement services.  Contact several and choose what best suits you.  I am bias regarding Embry-Riddle (www.erau.edu). I graduated from there and I think it is great!

Good Luck,

QUESTION: is the degree they provide is of ATPL or its an bachelor degree..

Answer
Hello Again,
The airlines require that you have a college degree as well as the appropriate flying certification.  An aviation college will get you an education (academic) diploma.  Most can (your choice) also provide you with the flying certifications required.  I suggest that you contact the HR depts of some airlines and inquire about their requirements.  After that look into some of the colleges that I provided for you.
