QuestionSir, i have just finished my Bachelor's level on Travel & Tourism Management.During that period i completed my internship remaining on Aviation industry ( Civil Aviation Authority Of Nepal, Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation ). Due to that i am much interested to continue my further studies on Aviation management or airlines management. I am searching for that colleges by which i could continue my further studies. I've got good marks on my last degree and i will entertain if i could get scholarship aid from that institution.
AnswerHi, Bipin:
It is nice to hear from you; I will try to assist!
First of all, I am mainly familiar with universities and colleges in the USA that offer graduate degrees in aviation. I am only familiar with just a very few that offer something outside the USA.
Second, the USA institutions that I would take a look at if I were you with regard to graduate degrees in aviation management are (in no particular order):
For a Master of Business Administration or MBA in Aviaton or Aviation Management:
Auburn University (Alabama)
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (Florida)
Daniel Webster College (New Hampshire)
Dowling College (New York)
For an Master of Public Administration(or MPA) in Aviation Administration:
Southern Illinois University Carbondale (Illinois)
University of Nebraska at Omaha (Nebraska)
For a Masters degree focused on Airport Management and Planning:
Florida Institute of Technology
Middle Tennessee State University
For a Masters degree in Aviation Safety:
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott (Arizona)
University of Central Missouri (Missouri)
Additional Masters degrees in aviation to consider:
Arizona State University (Tempe)
Delta State University (Mississippi)
Purdue University (Indiana)
You will have to check with each campus to obtain more details about each program and to find out what sort of scholarships that they might offer (also check on "Graduate Assistantships" which offer support for high-achieving graduate students).
Also, you can obtain a listing of aviation scholarships at the following website: www.uaa.aero which is the website of the University Aviaton Association. Go to their main page and then click on the link to "Scholarships." While you are on that website, also click on the "colleges and universities" link for links on to each of the universities listed above.
For universities outside the USA, I can think of just two that offer something related to aviatoin management:
London Metropolitan University (United Kingdom)
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India)
With all best wishes,
