AnswerHi, Kemuel:
Thank you for your question--I will try to assist.
First of all, a partial listing of post secondary institutions with an MBA in Aviation Management include;
USA:
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, USA
Dowling College, New York USA
Daniel Webster College, New Hampshire, USA
University of Tenneseee-Knoxville, USA (MBA in Aerospace)
UNITED KINGDOM:
Cranfield University, Kent
There is also one university in the London area....do not recall the name.
INDIA:
University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dheradun, India
And, Hindustan Technical University, Chennai (I might have the name of the institution wrong)
UAE:
Emirates Airlines offers an MBA in Aviation
AUSTRALIA:
I hear there is one institution there but I do not know the name.
As far as needing to have two years of work experience in order to do an MBA in Aviation Managment, that might be true in the instances where the programs are set up as "Executive Programs" for people already in the industry. They are not all set up that way, but, some are.
Students with MBA in Aviation Management degrees will pursue a wide variety of positions with airports, airlines, aviation/aerospace manufactuers, airport/aviation consultants, aviation-oriented government agenices, aviation education institutions and related companies. My best recommendation for you is to ask specifically about career placement at each of the schools to which you apply for this program. Most schools have a ready list of companies and agencies that they go to to place their students into jobs. My view, in general, of the job opportunities is that the jobs should be plentiful starting in the next year or so (2012) and running through the rest of the decade (depending on how the overall world economy is doing). Boeing and Airbus forecast significant growth in airline aircraft sales, which should drive employment up over the next 20 years. There is an excellent press release at www.boeing.com dated September 16, 2010 on airline-related employment through 2030....
All best wishes to you,
