QuestionHello!
I'm about to start my junior year of high school and I want to be a pilot. I've been researching the classes both in high school and in college that I can begin taking and I am getting way too much mixed information. I really want to get started and to get a head start on becoming a pilot. I don't want to go through the army but other then that I don't know if I want to go commercial or private. Can you give me some advice on what to consider and what classes or courses to take?
Thank you so much!
Camber
AnswerHi Camber,
Sory for delay on question but as an pilot I do go all around places, sometimes where there is no internet connection.
The best way is find your local community collegies and get all informations about their programs expecially aviation programs. There is number of collegies that actually have nice aviation maintenance and aviation career programs, plus it is community college and they are very affordable. Look for classes like Private Pilot class (training for passing PPL knowledge Exam), that would be first step. Again I have to stress find local community college as they are very affordable and usually those classes run one or half semester.
In same time you should search local small airports where they do have flight training schools or at least an good flight instructor that has his own access to airplane, in corporation both college and this flight school that will start you toward you pilot career.
