Question
Hello Dottie,

I am 16 and I really enjoy flying and I'll be starting ground school soon and I want to be an airline pilot as a career.  What do you think is the probability and the outlook of becoming an airline pilot?  What is the possibility of being a pilot for a major airline?  What type of certificates and ratings will I need?  What are the requirements for getting those certificates and ratings and becoming an airline pilot?  How long does it usually take?

Thank you so much for your time!!

As I get so many questions like yours, I simply had to create a webpage about the subject to cover the topic adequately. There is just too much info to go over via this forum (I'd be typing for hours!)

Please visit my website and it's associated informative links -especially Jetcareers.com- and then let me know what questions you still have after digesting that material.
