Question
Hi! I wish you could give me some information on how is it to get back to aviation here in the US. I am from Asia, who worked as a cabin crew in the Middle East. Now, I am in Chicago taking up my Masters in Education. I wish to go back to the airline industry after my studies. I feel that its some sort of a calling for me, I still don't see myself teaching in schools here in the United States. I was thinking if   ATC jobs are open to females. Or would you know any other areas in aviation where I could probably fit in with my qualifications? Thanks alot.

Answer
Hi Blesse Anne,
I am really not going to be able to help you.  I work for the U. S. Government as an Air Traffic controller.  I don't have anything to do with the airline industry except tell airplanes where to go.  If you are interested in a career in ATC you can go to the FAA website and look at the requirements to become an air traffic controller.  The website is: http://www.faa.gov/careers/employment/jobinfo.htm
