Question
I know that there is a "hiring freeze" right now with the FAA.  But, it seems clear that they will begin to hire again sometime in the near future.  I have graduated a CTI program in FL and have turned in my dream sheet.  I have not started any further paperwork.  I would like to know what i can do to increase my chances of getting placed.  I have heard of people graduating over a year ago with their paperwork complete and never receiving  a phone call while others that graduated at the same time from the same school have already been placed in a facility.  Would you recommend calling anyone in the FAA when hiring continues.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Answer
Dear Matt,
I really don't know what to tell you.  I am not involved in hiring in any way so I know about as much as you do.  If you have a number to call I would call them at least once a month to find out the status of the hiring freeze and when you could reasonably expect to hear something.

Sorry I couldn't help.
