Question
Dear Mr. David NewMyer,

I'm holding a bechelor degree in mechanical(aeronautical)engineering and recently working in a repair station and I want to pursue my academic education in the aeronautical managment. I was thinking about Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (MS in Aeronautical-Avivation Maintenance) or Arizona State University (Aeronautical Managment Department) because I realy want to work later on in an airliner and particularly in aircraft maintenance. Can you advise me Mr. NewMyer about those two schools and their programs? and if you know better schools or programs  in the US can you tell me about them?

Thank you and regards

Answer
HI,

Both schools are excellent choices. The difference is the location (Florida vs. Arizona) and also the size and type of institution:  Embry Riddle is a smaller private insitution and Arizona State is a large public institution.

As far as other schools out there, check on the MBA in Aviation programs offered at:

Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (John Molson School of Business)

AND

Daniel Webster College, Nashua, New Hampshire (on-line program)

Both are good programs and might be worth looking at to compare to the other two.

Best wishes,
