Question
For a composite flight plan, when the initial portion is VFR. When I canceled my VFR flight portion, do I open and get the clearance from FSS or from ATC. And will they tell me to contact ATC?

Answer
Hi Korey,
Sorry it so long to get back to you.  I was away for the holidays.
Usually you will obtain your clearance from ATC.  The easy way to do it is to start off with flight following and then just work it through the ATC facility that is working you.  If you must use FSS (not recommended) they will give you a frequency to use.
Happy New Year!
