Question
What are the general requirements to obtain a "Third Class Medical Certificate?"  In other words how does one "pass" the medical exam?

Answer
Hi Dave,
You must have a physical exam from an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for any aviation medical certificate. There are usually many around in any area.  You should check your local airport or FAA office (FSDO) for a list.  If you would like the particulars of what the exam involves, you need to speak to one of the examiners.  It usually is just a routine physical - no big deal.
Good Luck
