Question
Am I too old to become a commercial airline pilot.I am considering starting training in Canada in April 2008 and am unsure whether to train for fixed wing or rotary with a view to making a complete career change.I will be turning 43 next year.

Answer
Not at all.  The Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) require mandatory retirement at age 60.  This regulation is currently being reviewed with the idea of raising the age.  There is a current shortage of pilots.  I strongly suggest that you go for it.
Good Luck, Dave
