Question
How much do they make

Answer
Hi,

At the upper end, airline pilots at airlines like Southwest, AirTran and United make about $180,000 to $200,000 a year as a ten year captain.....they start at those airlines at about $30,000 to $35,000 a year on their first year on probation and then move up from there.

Pilots at some of the air cargo airlines like UPS and FEDEX make more than the above.....and, starting salaries at some of the smaller regional airlines can be as little as $1800 to $2200 a month.....
