Question
I have no prior experience at all in piloting an aircraft, but i'm almost sure that this is the one field I'd be interested in still 20 years from now.  I am 18 years old, straight out of high school and currently attending Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA.  I would like to completly bypass the military, if possible.  As I was looking around trying to figure out where to start I stumbled upon this website and wondered if you had any advice for me.  thank you!

This is the most common question I get- how to become a pilot- so I decided the best thing I could do to relay so much information was to out it in a website. I have created a page about getting your license and aviation careers with all you need to know to get the 'big picture' about piloting. All the routes to a career and how to do it are covered, save any elaboration on 'flight academies'. Since I was civilian, I cover that progression in depth. I have also linked all the best sites on the web (in my opinon) for aspiring aviators to get even more info. All your questions should find anwsers here, but if they don't or you think of more, let me know.
