Question
Mr. Bidwell,

Does it say anything in the FAR's (I have yet to found it) that prohibits practicing spins? After I get my spin endorsement and I'm preparing for my CFI. Is there any regulation telling you that you cannot practice spins? By showing my students spins or me going out and practicing them?

Thanks for all your help!!!
Korey

Answer
Korey,
There is no regulation prohibiting spin training providing the airplane used is certified by category (and you meet the weight and balnce to fit the aircraft within the envelope)and all maneuvers are completed within 1,500 ft agl.  It is an acrobatic maneuver so a parachute is also required.  You should probably check with your local FBO for suggested practice areas.
Be very careful - stay safe,
Dave
