Hello,
My name is Darryl Flora. I am currently a freshman at Daniel Webster College. I am majoring in Aviation/Air Traffic Management. I will be in the Chicago area over the summer(2008). Would you know of any possible part-time jobs, or internships.

HI, Darryl:

Nice to hear from you...I will try to assist.

There are normally summer internships with the airports in the Chicago area, particularly, Chicago-O'Hare and Chicago-Midway Airports.  Also, with Chicago Executive Airport (formerly Palwaukee Airport) in Wheeling, IL.  On the two in Chicago, you will need to access the City of Chicago website since they are both City of Chicago owned airports.  I believe that summer internships will be posted after Christmas.

I wouild also check out the two major hub airlines at ORD: United and American. In the past, they both have hired students as customer service interns to help unaccompanied minors move between connecting flights at O'Hare.  Also, the local airport planning firms in the area have hired interns in the past, particular Landrum and Brown and Reynolds-Smith and Hill (in Naperville, IL).  You should be able to access both of them via their websites.

Those are the  best ideas I have for now....
