1. Define deck angle
2. What is low speed buffet?
3. What happens to TAS, IAS and AOA as altitude increases?
4. 3 degree glide slope at 700fpm descent. Encounter headwind, what do you do?
slower due to slower ground speed, faster due to faster ground speed?
5. What is the worst performance on an aircraft while holding at 6000 feet.
snow, freezing rain, rime ice or all?
6. How do you know you are in wind shear?
+-5 knots, then +-300 fpm; +-10 knots, +-300 fpm; +-15 knots, +-500 fpm, +-10 knots, +-500 fpm?
7. Smoke fills cabin. what do you do?

Got me. The AOA?

Indications of an impending stall.


3. What happens to TAS, IAS and AOA as altitude increases?

The airspeed indicator is calibrated at the factory for standard day at sea level, where IAS equals TAS.  Since air pressure decreases with an increase in altitude, TAS will increase if IAS is held constant while climbing to a higher altitude. As a rule of thumb, at a constant IAS, TAS will increase approximately 3 knots for each 1,000’ increase in altitude. The angle of attack must be increased to compensate for the decreased lift and as altitude increases, the airplane must be flown at a higher true airspeed for any given angle of attack.

slower due to slower ground speed, faster due to faster ground speed?

I'd say slower. Probably from the ATP written. Check there for the same question.

snow, freezing rain, rime ice or all?
Dunno but it's probably between the last two.

6. How do you know you are in wind shear?
+-5 knots, then +-300 fpm; +-10 knots, +-300 fpm; +-15 knots, +-500 fpm, +-10 knots, +-500 fpm?
I know the tell tale signs but if this is a mutliple choice anwser I dunno. Anwsers are proably from the ATP written.

You need to get the air inside out of the cabin. If you increase the cabin the outflow valve will open slightly allowing more cabin air out. This also decreases the cabin pressure differential.

8. How many transponders do you need in RVSM?
I have no idea. Our a/c is equippped with two and we don't even serve an airport with RVSM ops with the aircraft.
