Question
Hi,
I have around 500 hours total time and 34 multi time. I am a flight instructor at a flight school in florida. Like all cfi's, I am looking for another way to build time to get in the airlines. Do you know of any low time pilot jobs out in the US? I am looking to stay on the east coast if possible.
Thanks
Chris

Answer
Hi there,

Thank you for your question.
The best way to build time is to fly freight. It teaches you "real" flying and makes you a better pilot and you will be well prepared for the airlines! There are some freight outfits that hire you with as little as 500 hrs TT and put you in the right seat until you have 1200 hrs. and then you can fly by yourself.
Also, do not wait to apply at regional airlines you never know!
You can also do pipeline flying and banner towing (especially in FL).
Just search in google, ask.com and yahoo for that type of flying and you will come across some opportunities!

Good Luck,
H2
