Question
Hi. im currently living in Hays, Kansas and im a freshman in college.  I want to become a pilot and i really don't know if college is right for me.  If i went to groundschool now instead of college would that hurt my chances at becoming a successful pilot. p.s. I havent set my mind on exactly what i want to fly as for as commercially or anything.  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Grayson,
Leave college for ground school? Never! Ground school is not a big deal and you can even accomplish it online www.gleim.com).  If you ever plan on doing anything commercially you will need the degree. All carriers that I am aware of require it.
In my opinion, I would not even consider it.
Good Luck, Dave Bidwell
