Question
I am interested in getting a B737 and/or A320 type rating.
Could you recommend a few good places (trainingwise and costwise) in the US where I could get this accomplished?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Jascha,

I will not be able to help you with that...
I simply do not believe a Pilot should pay for any more training than he/she already has (ATP/MEL).
One reason is that most companies require at least 200hrs. in type before they even consider a type rating valid! The other is that I consider this "pay for your job" and think that companies should provide that for you...not you for them!
I am sure that you can search on Google or Yahoo and find many schools that offer type ratings. You should be paying no more than $5000 to $7000 for a type in a B737 or A320.

Good Luck,

H2
