Answer
Hello Shreenu,
In the US the license procedure is as follows:
1. Private Pilot
2. Instrument Rating
3. Commercial
4. Multi-engine rating
5. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
If you are looking to fly for the airlines, you will need a college degree.  I suggest that you contact Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (www.erau.edu)for more info.  Another suggestion, if the college is not needed, would be to contact Flight Safety International(www.flightsafety.com)These are two of the premier schools that can train you properly and get on the road fast.
Good Luck. If I can answer any other questions, please let me know.  Unfortunately, I am only familiar with the US system.
Dave
