Question
i was just wondering how difficult it is to be a air traffic controller because i am lookin at careers and cant seem to find one of interest except for air traffic controllers. i am still in high school now but want to choose a career before attending college. do u ever regret being a atc or know of anyone who has and why?

Answer
Dear Sandy,
I believe that it is up to the individual as to how hard the job can be.  Some people handle the stress a lot better than others.  I have never regretted choosing to become an Air traffic controller.  The job can be both challenging and rewarding, however it can also be quite stressful for some people. I have known a few that I think that the job was too much for.  I am a ATC supervisor now and I find the stress much more difficult than when I was an atc.
I hope this helps.
