Question
what are the sources of reservation in a hotel?

Answer
Hi Jelly,
There are many sources for hotel reservations. They include the Global Distribution systems such as APOLO, SABRE, etc, that are owned by the worlds major airlines to manage the airlines own reservations for air travel, and these systems are also shared for a fee, and utilized by travel agents, car rental agencies, Hotels, etc. Many of the popular Web based companies like Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.Com are owned by the major GDS systems, they are used by the individual traveler to make reservations with hotels, and of course people still call hotels directly or go through a franchises central reservations system with the specific chain to make a reservation. These are the biggest source of hotels reservations.

I hope this helped to answer your question.
