Question
Hi Steve ,

I have been in Hospitality , to be exact in F&B Management for last 10 years. My career started as just Supervisor to current Beverage Director for high -upscale property here in Orlando. I always had desire to be part of Sales or marketing Management team , of course it's so hard to make that switch , especially if you doing it in other Company that may have opening. Steve , is there any possible way to convince future Employer that I do have at least some qualifications in Sales&Marketing and great desire to learn even more.

Thank you Steve for your time,
Obrad
Orlando,FL

Answer
Obrad:

Sorry for the long delay.  I overlooked your question.

You need to demonstrate to your GM or Director of Sales that you know the insides and outs of sales.  Try www.aprinda.com for some free courses.  Scroll to the bottom of the page, they have a few there when you click on learn more.

Once you can show them you know how to land accounts, negotiate rates, evaluate business.....you can interview the right way and land the job.

Good luck
