Question
Hello, I'm currently trying to decide which is the best major that would suite me and I came across with Travel and Tourism Management, that I was thinking to do my associate on, but what I'm also really interested in Marketing as well, and hope to combine both, so I can peruse Marketing and Sales for Travel and Tourism Management. now is that something that can be done or yet even exists in the Hospitality world. Thank you for your help

Answer
Dear Albina,
There are certainly vast avenues to pursue in sales and marketing in the hospitality world. My career started in marketing and sales with a Hilton Hotel franchise. There is great demand for good sales and marketing people in the travel industry. I would suggest speaking with a career counselor at your college for more information, then make appointments to visit some hotels and large travel agencies. I'd bet many have internships available that can give you a taste of what the different positions would entail. Good Luck!
