Question
Hello, Robert M. Riddell

I'm currently working as a web developer, so most of my qualifications are related to the Information Technology field.

Despite this fact, I would like to step into the tourism/hospitality industry. So, should I get some qualifications, or could I get a job without any experience. What should I put on my resume and cover letter if I lack relevant experience?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated

Regards,

Jake

Answer
Hello Jake, Honestly your current qualifications should be a great entry into the hospitality industry since we are doing a significant amount of our marketing and sales via the Internet. I think your present qualifications are fine, especially if you want to use them in hospitality.
