Question
i am an IT professional, working with some software development organisation.my interest is more towards law thing. will it be of any use to do Cyber Law or IPR law for an IT professional, who is not a lawyer graduate. can it give support to grow and add to my career??

Answer
Vivek,

Yes, your IT background may be helpful in the areas of cyber law or IP. Moreover, your IT background and interest in the law make you a perfect candidate for a career in electronic discovery ("e-discovery") or litigation support. These lucrative fields are among the fastest growing segments of the legal industry. Legal personnel with IT backgrounds are in high demand.

E-discovery professionals help identify, preserve and manage electronically stored information (ESI) in litigation. Litigation support professionals develop and manage litigation-related technology applications. The good news is that neither of these professions require a law degree or any additional formal education.
