Hi miss Sally Kane I am 14 years old and turning 15 next month but since I was about 13 I noticed I was really attracted to law and justice and allot of family members have told me that because of my personality I will make a great lawyer so I began to investigate about them and it drew my attention even more and I also  watch close to home and I really love it and I also think that this is a challenging job and I love challenges and  I am really committed to what I do and I want to begin studding law since now but i guess ill have to wait until I graduate but I have several questions what can I do to obtain more experience that will be considerated when I have to go to university or when trying to get a job related to law and how can I prepare from now to become in the future a district attorney and if you have any idea which are the best states to execute this carrier and last but not least do you think ill make a great district attorney?. xD

Hi Astrid,

I admire your enthusiasm.  It is never too early to begin preparing for a career as an attorney.  The single most important thing you can do at this point in your life is to earn the best grades you can.  Law school admission is highly competitive and those with the best grades and LSAT scores have the most opportunities.  

Keep in mind that it is not necessary to major in pre-law in college.  Law schools seek a diverse student body from a variety of disciplines.  You may want to get involved in extracurricular activities, especially those that will help you develop your leadership potential and writing abilities.
