Question
Ok, I am in grade 8, I know, but I am a very school oriented person and would like to go to university multiple times, to major in three courses. I was wondering what type of courses should I take to e able to get into law school, a university subject of music, and a university subject of business? I' like to own my own record label (sorry if thats not the right word) Where I take some unknown bands, listen to there demo, and if I like them, sign them onto my label, and help them with their music. Or, if that falls out, I would always have my law degree. Sorry it's a lot to take in, but I'm really worried, I'll get to high school next year and be completely oblivious, and take all the wrong courses. But my biggest fear, is getting to university, and feeling like I missed a memo or something. I just want to be as prepared as I can be to start off my high school, and university career.

Answer
Hi Rayne,

I can’t speak to what types of classes you need to take be successful in the music industry.  However, if you want to pursue a law degree, courses in writing, speech and logical reasoning may help prepare you for law school. Getting involved in volunteer work and extracurricular activities that demonstrate leadership, moral character and strong writing and communications skills can also help.
