Careers: Law/Real Estate Closing Paralegal

Question
I have an associates in paralegal studies.  I would like to become a real estate closing paralegal.  Can you tell me what alterative classes I should take to help me reach my goal?

Answer
From your question I can tell you are from a state where attorneys still do real estate closings.  I am from California and here 99.9% of real estate closings are handled by escrow companies.  What I would suggest that you do is contact a real estate closing attorney, so that you can ask them specifically what courses they expect a new paralegal to have taken.  I would also suggest going to a junior college if that is possible and taking all of the real estate classes that are offered.

Any other questions please contact me again, glad to help.
