Question
Hello,
Sold successful practice after 30 years, following plan for early retirement.  Circumstances changed and work is needed.  Have tried to procure per diem work, 1-3 days per week: no opportunities identified via contacts with colleagues and contacting some I don't know.  Any other ideas?  Area: central coast California.  thank you.

Answer
Your location may be the problem....central coast California may not have enough locations where per diem work is needed.  Have you tried contacting local societies or even the state board letting them know you're available?  (State board sometimes gets phone calls from people wanting to hire new licensees......).  Or visit more commercial establishments and talk with the docs there...that's probably your best shot.
